Amigurumi's

When I first tried to make amigurumi, I was so frustrated because the holes are so big and the shape is not what I wanted to be,  even if I am following a video tutorrial I just couldn't make it, yes I got close but I was so frustrated because my work doesn't look good to me. I mean I can see the fiber fill thru the holes of my SC's then I said I give up & put my hook down then went on searching amigurumi pictures and patterns, then I saw a fish ami, I search for the page, I did find it but to my dismay the crafter just whipped it and made it without pattern, still feeling frustrated with the heart that I couldn't get into shape I said I can do this!! then took my hook back and began crocheting  just looking at the picture, with the excitement and determination I feel inside I did it, "in your face, ami heart! ha! yeah, I know I sound boastful but I  I was just so happy I did it and here are my fish ami''s

I took a long  break making ami's after making the fish, then last month, my crochet group in FB "Happy Crocheters 24/7* has weekly challenge and that week the challenge was an ami bear, so I face my frustration again but I think I did improve and manage to make this cute little bear ^_^

I think I enjoyed making the bear so I tried another one, the panda but it didn't turned out nice so I tried another one and I was so happy because I know that I am really improving and I made this cute monkey, then made the baby turtles.

My ami madness went on, so I made kokeshi dolls and made some experiments from Japanese to Chinese the Filipina wearing one of our  national dress I even made a sumo wrestler but he looks like a snowman lol and a little nija too all of them just made them based on the kokeshi video tutorial from YouTube, by Happy Berry Crochet, I just changed the hair style and the dress

And that's my journey conqering my frustration and fear of making amigurumis, my dolls aren't perfect yet but am happy that I am improving.
Thanks for visiting and for your time reading. I'll be posting a free coaster pattern next blog

Keep smiling and God bless :)
