Chumpling crafts meet and greet and more Boleros

It's  9 more days before Christmas :)  I am so happy to meet wonderful people during the last Chumpling meet and greet, really happy to make new friends who share the same passion and interest.

I am so glad that I did join the meet and greet, at first I was kinda reluctant to go because we have to bring a handmade present and I can't decide which to make so I tried making a yarn bag , I didn't have a pattern, I saw one picture and tried to copy it but it's not easy without a pattern so I just chain and continue while uttering "please work please work...I want to go to the meet and greet" I was so happy it did and now I am trying to remember the things I did on the pattern because I want to make one for my self ha ha ha and oh I would love to share the pattern here too :)  the yarn bag I am referring to is shown below

And here's a picture from the meet and greet, beautiful ladies who are beautiful persons too I am so happy to meet them and I love their crafts too, compared to them I am the newbie they are awesome I wish I could improve my crochet skills to be like them :) 

 And here are the elegant boleros from my friend's pattern in http://free-crochet-pattern-2009.blogspot.com/2012/03/elegant-bolero.html I made another 2 boleros but I adjusted the length as my friends wanted it to be longer ha ha ha it dosn't look like a bolero anymore it's more like a vest, but I do like the white one which I think I'm gonna make one for me to wear on the next Chumpling meet and greet.

Here's a new project from the yarn I received from Handmade by Bheng, I already finish it but I can't decide  what or which type of handle shall I put...

Naughty or Nice

I have been a bit lazy to crochet lately, I still need to finish one more Elegant Bolero but am not in the mood to do it. Then I saw something that my friends posted on FB, I don't know what it is called and would love to make one but I didn't have the pattern so I made one of my own. Would post the pattern here soon ^_^

Tuesday Crochet....and drawing on the door :P

It's been a while since my last post, been busy lately and haven't done any of my projects, I have done the black bolero but it's not yet finish..just the edging though but am not in the mood to finish it yet and I started the white one the other day and made 4 squares so far.
Today I planned to continue it but I had to do the laundry, I tried after but I got bored crocheting the square motif. I saw some of my stash and started crocheting, what was in my mind was to create a casing for my reading glasses but when it formed a square I remembered that it look like the one I watched in YouTube, it's tutorial on how to make a top bikini so I decided to try it and continue crocheting and took other color which is brown and just add to the grey and just do what come in my mind and here's the outcome..

 And here's the black bolero I haven't finish yet, I wanted to wait for my friend to see if it fit and  fix it if not then put edging but she said she want it to be done so she can just pick it up when she arrive...so GOOD LUCK TO ME I hope it will fit her nicely otherwise I won't be happy about it if my work does not look good at all :P

OH! And here's the bummer! :D while I am busy crocheting.. the little supper active boy is also busy....

Busy drawing something on the door with my newly sharpen pencil, I use for making sketch....and he broke it in two :(

Oh well, kids are kids we can't argue with that. ha ha ha

Saturday ????

It's been a while since my last post, I have been busy preparing my super active boy 2nd birthday and then got sick after. I need to finish 2 of the elegant bolero and I have started the first one.
As I was crocheting the yesterday ( while sneezing continuously, sniffing between ch, dc etc LOL)
Well am doing a multi-task...trying to crochet while doing the laundry and trying to hush the super active boy who's throwing out tantrums who wants to go out wioth his stroller, it's hot outside and am doing the laundry so I cant take him out, I put him in his stroller and let him watch tinker bell and YAY! he stop for a while so I sit down and start crocheting, watch tinker bell Suddenly the neighbor turned his radio too loud that made all the chicken in his yard noisy, "THE HORROR" I can't blame the chicken,at first  it was old and nice song from the Eagles but it was so loud for Goodness sake and it's just 10 AM, then it got worse, everybody like music but we all have our choices of music, I don't have anything against rap but when it is too loud and you can't even understand it it's a different story it's a noise to me.... sorry but am not realyl a fan of rap music. The chicken gets more noisy, good thing the little super active boy is not affected as he's enjoying his movie while munching "Roller Coaster" potato chips ha ha ha.
Well. pause on my crocheting and finish the laundry and other household chores after LOL gotta take advantage the time that the little super active boy is quiet ha ha ha
Then after I finish all the things, I went back on my crocheting but I was bored crocheting the bolero so I decided to crochet something new and I came up with these little flowers, saw the pattern from ravely :)

I wish I could make a beautiful purse or bag out of this motif :)

Cakes and slices

When I was a little girl, I love watching cooking shows on TV and still love that up to now. I love watching my grandma cook and if she let's me help I am so happy. When I got to High school I tried cooking some and my brother was my worst critic while grandma is my greatest fan :) 
I remember one time when I was teenager,  I was in the mood for cooking but I didn't know what to cook so I went to the kitchen and try to cook something with the ingredients I found in the kitchen, after it I call my sister to try it and it was a success she said I should cook more...hmm now I wonder if she really likes what I prepare or she just want me to cook because it will lessen her  chores????
Then in college my group and I won a contest which I was the leader of the group and do most the cooking and plating it's a group of four and I can't remember which contest it was a mini contest in our class, wherein we were given a box with ingredients inside and we have to prepare it, cook our own recipe from it and we must use all the ingredients inside, there are fruits, veggies  ground beef eggs etc. I remember I made a red swan out of the apple ^_^.... just sad I din't have a picture of it.

 I really love cooking specially cakes and desserts..I am not an expert though I just love baking cakes and give it as a gift on friends birthdays, I use to do this when I was in Doha, I just hope my friends likes them. Here are some of the cakes and other recipes.

Why do I crochet????

My life has been a little boring for about a year now, other than taking care of my super active lovely boy, which turned me into a monstrous screaming mother!! (plus the other things in my mind which make a a bit insane >_<)I said this could not be happening, I said  I need to find an way to keep me calm, freeze my mind from thinking and of course keep my sanity. And I saw the beautiful  crochet projects, I started searching for patterns, bought some yarns and hooks, at first I just chain and form but never know what or which one will I make, I have an idea in my chaotic mind that I want to make  top but I don't have any pattern so I push my poor confused and stressed mind to think how am I going to make one, then I search YouTube. and saw tutorials and follow each one that I like but never finish a whole ha ha ha crazy.. so I searched for  patterns and saw many beautiful one and keep downloading each pattern so I was stuck admiring those finished products and keep saying OMG I want to make these and this and this oh and this one too....never ending believe me everyday searching for patterns and stuck there, and in the end I haven't make any.

Finally I decided to make a beanie hat and the happiness when I finish it is overwhelming though it is just a simple beanie ^_^

Then I also made a bear beanie and a sandal  for the super active one :)

Then a beret..

Then my first ever crocheted bolero from Girlie's Crochet free pattern, my friends liked it too but they like it in black. So this is what keeps me calm and keep me from thinking of those never ending what ifs in my mind and of course crocheting makes me happy.

Hello again, my blog title is about crochet and cooking, but I haven't put anything about recipe or cooking and I just upload the picture of my new creation in crochet, bear with me as I just started blogging and I know I have to learn more about this, I didn't even know what to put on my blog title at first. Hello, welcome to my blog. I am in to crocheting right now and  I just created my new Summer Top, I am so happy I finished it, I was going to crochet a tunic from a pattern I saw in caron.com but I changed my mind and made it to this one. I am so happy with the outcome ^_^
