Projects from past months & free pattern to look forward to

Days, weeks months had passed,,, as much as I don't want to start writing "it's been a long time" again, I have no excuse, it's just that obviously Life hasn't done with me yet & I know  I have many battles yet to conquer :)
Anyway, here are some of the crochet projects I have done for the past months that I've been quiet

Women's peacock hat fro the Crochet Crowds

Made these cute hat for me & the super active boy

This pink summer top, a friend from a crochet group asked me to help her on the flower graph.
I was just starting this top that time & just finished the bra part & didn't know what to put next.
So I decided to try and find out where to start & how to make that flower out of the graph & finally made it  so I did add it to this top & finally come up to the one on the left. Te second I made it with  a twist  I put string instead of buttons, the client likes the first one but it's big for her & when we checked for fitting I ask her if she would want a lace string instead of buttons and she said she loves it so I came up with the one on the right. I haven't think of a name of the top so I named it pink summer top. Hopefully I'd be able to write down what I did & share it here next time.

Here's another pineapple lacy top, I made the one on the left before and the same client who take the pink top likes it but had to make some adjustments as it doesn't fit her, it's a bit big for her and she asked if I could also put a lace tie on it so she'll have options how to wear it, with buttons or lace tie.
I am just glad she likes them both

Then this top for a 4 year old girl & a red cover up for her mother together with some snail, turtle & kokeshi doll key chains & a croc purse

From my wild flower top I made a new version and here's the #3 version of it

This top is made out of a monthly challenge from my crochet group in FB call Happy Crocheters 24/7
We named the challenge Mix N Match & create something beautiful, I was the one who created the challenge & provide some picture/graphs and the crocheters can choose which ever she likes from the posted graphs and could also add more to create a wearable crochet. My intention is to help other crocheters to make some wearable crochet, thought it was easy and I though many would want to join but I didn't thought that not all of us could read graphs and it's not easy for others to create something with just piece of graph so now, what I did is to write the graph in words so that they would understand and perhaps it would be a start for them to understand how to read graphs, we're on the 2nd challenge & I am hoping that more could join.

Ladies this is something I came up with, when a friend challenged me if I could crochet  something like this.
He showed me a simple rainbow colored one I asked what is it called and so he said Willie Warmer
Ha ha ha I did Google it and tried to find some interesting free pattern but I didn't like the one I found & I saw  something I like but it is knitted & I don't know how to knit. So I said I can do this, I can crochet this one and so I did without pattern Ha!

This bag is made out of tiny cord wow! I realized that up to now, I haven't decided which handle to put ha ha ha perhaps I will just put a long string so I could use it as a body bag :)

Then there's a crocheted lalaloopsy addiction on our crochet group I always wanted to make one but I don't have the yarn color for the skin & honestly I tried many times to make the cury hair of Lalaloopsy but I always failed, a friend told me to take the doll to salon to give it a pirm so it will be curly ha ha ha. I am jealous I said I want a lalaloopsy but I came up with this
Meet Lolita version 2.O "LOLA" :P

These beautiful socks I love them & I am thankful to the person who gave me the pattern & she also give me something I could earn extra. I am really thankful to this nice lady Gloria Vito <3
This is my current WIP inspired form Crochetology Walkednights
http://crochetology.net/walkednights
I am planning to put one of the graphs that I posted on our 2nd Mix N Match challenge so I will have something to post as inspiration there :)

And this is my 2nd Wildflower Summer Top
I already post this but I am posting it again because this will be my next free pattern to post here  :)

Thank you
Have a blessed day

Amigurumi's

When I first tried to make amigurumi, I was so frustrated because the holes are so big and the shape is not what I wanted to be,  even if I am following a video tutorrial I just couldn't make it, yes I got close but I was so frustrated because my work doesn't look good to me. I mean I can see the fiber fill thru the holes of my SC's then I said I give up & put my hook down then went on searching amigurumi pictures and patterns, then I saw a fish ami, I search for the page, I did find it but to my dismay the crafter just whipped it and made it without pattern, still feeling frustrated with the heart that I couldn't get into shape I said I can do this!! then took my hook back and began crocheting  just looking at the picture, with the excitement and determination I feel inside I did it, "in your face, ami heart! ha! yeah, I know I sound boastful but I  I was just so happy I did it and here are my fish ami''s

I took a long  break making ami's after making the fish, then last month, my crochet group in FB "Happy Crocheters 24/7* has weekly challenge and that week the challenge was an ami bear, so I face my frustration again but I think I did improve and manage to make this cute little bear ^_^

I think I enjoyed making the bear so I tried another one, the panda but it didn't turned out nice so I tried another one and I was so happy because I know that I am really improving and I made this cute monkey, then made the baby turtles.

My ami madness went on, so I made kokeshi dolls and made some experiments from Japanese to Chinese the Filipina wearing one of our  national dress I even made a sumo wrestler but he looks like a snowman lol and a little nija too all of them just made them based on the kokeshi video tutorial from YouTube, by Happy Berry Crochet, I just changed the hair style and the dress

And that's my journey conqering my frustration and fear of making amigurumis, my dolls aren't perfect yet but am happy that I am improving.
Thanks for visiting and for your time reading. I'll be posting a free coaster pattern next blog

Keep smiling and God bless :)

My Lalaloopsy Doll

I saw the Lala loopsy dolls that my friends from a crochet group made, they're different in size and hairs, one even made one and named it "Pink Skull Cutie" she's a rock star lalaloopsy doll, I  love them all and I want to make one and so I did. Mine, I think is the smallest she's almost 4 inches
when I am in the process of making it, my super active boy called her Elsa
maybe because of the color of her shoes and undies.
at first I put some chains on top of her head, thinking it could be use as
key chain or put it on a zipper of bags..

When am almost  done my the super active boy change her name from Elsa to Danielle..

I couldn't make the curly hair, i tried but I didnt like the out come :P
But guess what, the super active by change her name again and this time he called her " Jen- Jen "
So here is my Lalaloopsy named Jen- Jen :) I didn't follow any pattern, I used mercirized cotton.

Have a blessed day &

Scorching Hot summer Pojects

I wouldn't start with "it's been a long time blah bla.." lol because I always start with that every time I write a blog post because I know it's really been a while again. Been in vacation afterwards the super hyperactive cute boy has been sick then I got sick also but in between those times I mange to make some projects during this hot hot hot summer 2014.
Before going for 2 weeks vacation, my friend and I have long planned to open a new page in Facebook, so we went on buying materials and talk about it a lot but honestly we talk and express our desires, dreams and what our projects would be than actually picking up our hooks and start making some project ha ha ha  yup, we're a little bit out of our minds, but anyway here are the pictures of my 2 creations & here they are:

meet Petunia for 1-3 y/o my first Baby dress

Willow Skirt for 2-3 y/o
When I got back from vacation, my son and I got sick for about 2 weeks, I wanted to crochet and in between coughing and sneezing I manage to make this barefoot sandal, this is also my first try doing project like this and I didn't follow any pattern...
lol don't ask, my feet doesn't look good & am not going to say who's foot is this :P

here's the pair of barefoot sandal
..and I am so happy that I finally made my first ever monokini, this is the reason I started to crochet, I wanna make some more of these, I have watch a video tuturial in YouTube, it's quite hard because it was like a series of pictures until it was finished, no counts or what kind of yarn or size of crochet hook so I just go with my passion and determination to finish this one and I am so happy with the outcome :)

My first Monokini
And then a friend asked me if I could make some coasters and  glass cozy for her, she sent me a picture of her glass and she chooses the color,so I did make her these:
Set of 6 Coasters and Glass cozies with mini pouch
And there my friends I hope you enjoy reading, I promise I won't take long for my next blog and hopefully I could write the pattern of my creations and share it with you :)
Have a blessed day
